The D4SPAs project was proudly presented by A.S. Prote Maritime Ltd at DEFEA 2025 – Defence Exhibition Athens (6 – 8 May,2025), hosted at Hall 1, Stand A38. Our participation aimed to highlight the potential and security-oriented applications of the project, particularly within the maritime domain.
Participation in DEFEA 2025 represented a milestone for the project, significantly enhancing its visibility and providing a valuable platform for engagement with stakeholders from the maritime industry. Many visitors from the security and maritime sectors showed strong interest in the project’s capabilities, highlighting the growing demand for UAV-based solutions. Throughout the exhibition, strong interest was expressed by stakeholders from the maritime industry, including both public and private actors involved in port surveillance, coastal infrastructure protection, and autonomous maritime operations. These interactions confirmed the growing demand for flexible, autonomous systems that can operate reliably in maritime needs.
Engaging with diverse actors — including technology integrators, operational end-users, and cross-sector collaborators — allowed the consortium to gather feedback, validate use-case assumptions, and identify potential pathways for exploitation.
D4SPAs continues to focus on technologies with cross-sectoral applicability, contributing to the EU’s broader vision for resilience, safety, and innovation in critical domains.
